The opening ceremony for the Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championship 2010 is happening at Selwyn Reserve, Mission Bay next Wednesday, 20 January. There will be plenty going on including a surf simulator, roving performers, interactive activities and a special Quiksilver retail store. If you can't make it to the opening ceremony, head to Piha each day from 21 to 28 January to see some of the world's best junior surfers in action.
Catch the last days of world-class tennis competition
Don't miss the final days of the Heineken Open Men's International on in Auckland until Saturday. With a number of seeds in the top 31 in the world, the competition will be fierce and the atmosphere electric. Tickets to this event are on sale now and available from Ticketek.

The excitement is starting to build for Rugby World Cup 2011, but it's more than just a game! RWC 2011 will provide us with so many opportunities to celebrate our city's arts, culture, natural environment, diversity and sporting spirit before, during and after the tournament. The region's RWC planning team is conducting a survey during the summer, asking Aucklanders how they want to celebrate RWC 2011. Give us your thoughts and be in the draw to win a limited edition rugby ball and tickets to the opening match!
